All About Hair

Wow, I'm about ready for life to slow down for a minute so that I can get some of my projects and housework caught up.  Life at the Button Box has been busy with a wedding of a dear niece and a fabulous hair show.  I know, you're what you're thinking, "did the boys enjoy any of this?" Well, they did get to spend some time with the family over the mountain. And while I went to the hair show, they enjoyed a nice venison dinner cooked by Father Button.  (I'm glad that I missed that part.)  So, we'll share some of the fun that had................
The wedding had to change locations at the last minute due to the weather, poor girl, she really wanted an out-door wedding.  But thanks to family and friends it still turned out beautiful.

Here is Miss Amanda, she was so excited to marry Caleb that she could barely hold still while I did her hair.  And what a massive amount of hair this girl has!

Anna and Katie also waited ever so patiently to get their locks arranged.  Thanks to Liz, I had time to get my self ready!  I showed her how to do this simple up-do and turned her loose!  She may be able to leave the nursing profession soon don't you think?

The 2 cutest flower girl's ever had good mommas that did their hair.  Sigh, some times I wish that a girl had been born to the Button Box...............

Kade was assigned the task of carrying Amanda's train. He took this job very seriously!

We ended up having plenty of time due to the road being closed for the Iron Man competition in St. George.  Some family members either had to wait for the road to open, or find another route.  So, I could have taken a little more time on the hair, but she was happy and that's all that matters.

After all of the wedding festivities, we hurried home so that I could leave for the HAIR SHOW!!  I love these events, especially this one.  There were 6 shows on stage and several classes that we had to choose from.
So, early Sunday morning, Mindy and I kissed our loved ones goodbye and hit the road.  Ahhh, can you feel the freedom that we felt?  I forgot to take pictures until we got to the show, so you'll just have to imagine how great we looked.

My favorite on stage was Angel Del Solar.........he is amazing!  I entered a contest so that I could study with him, but alas, I wasn't a lucky winner...  So you'll have to be happy that I have pictures of him from almost the back row.

The other show that I really liked, and forgot to take pictures of, was the Sexy Hair show.  I use a lot of their products and have clients hooked on them too.   Here a just a couple of the pictures that I did get, when I wasn't shopping.

And here are the new shears that I saved up for.........Ron about swallowed his tongue when I told him what I paid for them.  I saved all my tips for months to buy these, so it's not like it's out of his pocket, and you need the right tools for the job.  Dollar store shears just won't work, and look how shiny they are!!!  (insert sparkly shininess here).

And then there were the bag deals and the one sparkly jewelry booth! You know we couldn't pass those up.

But, we're home now and back to reality and all of the spring allergies, and ready to use our new mad hair skills at the shop. Stop by and see us!
